"Until further notice, as per the Governor's directive, all small group gatherings (Bible Studies, Youth Group, Movie Nights, Ironworkers, Sisters in J.O.Y., Choir Practices and Sunday School) will be put on hold. You will be informed as soon as we are able to put social distancing on hold."
In the meantime, please contact Pastor Dale Miller if you would like to participate in the ZOOM meetings being held for Wednesday Bible Study and Sunday Worship services.
You may think these are interesting times. Please remember that as followers of Jesus, we are called to live by faith, not by fear. Yet God still calls us to exercise His wisdom in all we do as individuals and as a church family.
As your pastor, I’m encouraging you to not be ruled by fear but to live by faith. We believe our mighty God is bigger than any virus satan may bring near us. Let me encourage you to have a sense of peace because you know the One who can calm the storms of life.
Please use wisdom and common sense. Wash your hands frequently. Sneeze into your elbow area. Avoid touching your face. If you do become ill, don’t go out into public places.
Again, if you are sick (COVID-19 or just a common cold) please stay home to rest and heal. And if you choose to stay home because you are older or just want to use an abundance of caution, we promise that no one will judge you or accuse you of having little faith.
Most of all, be praying:
*Pray that we'll all grow in our faith because of this trial.
*Pray that we can reach out as individuals and as a church family to serve those in our community.
(If you have ideas as to how we can do this, please let me know.)
*Pray for our government and denominational leaders as they promote wisdom and not fear or panic.
*Pray that those who are panicking would have their hearts opened to the peace that only Jesus can offer.
Your servant in Christ,
