July: This month's birth flowers are dramatic head turners, one being the star of water features and the other capable of growing eight feet tall.....Larkspur and the Water Lily.
Larkspur - Each color variation of the larkspur has a different meaning: Pink means fickleness; White conveys a happy nature and Purple normally represents a first love. Generally, larkspur indicates strong bonds of love.
Water Lily - The other flower for July is the Water Lily, which signifies purity and majesty. Aside from being lovely in their own right, water lilies are often used in ponds to deter the growth of growth of algae and to shade and cool the water for resident fish and frogs.
If you are interested in sponsoring flowers for the church, please check out the list on the bulletin board in the back of the sanctuary. Pick a special date in honor of someone's birthday or anniversary or in memory of a loved one who has taken the journey home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The week prior to the date you pick, you will receive a call from Sandy Sheets asking for the message you would like to appear in the weekly bulletin for the flowers you are sponsoring.
