Christmas Gift Extravaganza!

Each year, the Dauphin County Children and Youth Agency collaborates with churches, businesses and individual donors to help provide Christmas Gifts for the children who are currently in their system. These children are growing up in less than ideal circumstances and could use our help.

We have committed to providing gifts for 20 children of the following ages:

• 2 Male, 2 Female of Newborn-2yrs
• 2 Male, 2 Female of 3yrs-5yrs
• 2 Male, 2 Female 6yrs-8yrs
• 2 Male, 2 Female 9yrs-11yrs
• 2 Male, 2 Female 12yrs and up
  

Our goal is to have at least 3 gifts for each age/gender we've committed to, ie. at least 60 gifts in all. The agency will be picking the unwrapped gifts up on December 1st, so we will need all donations by then. They will then take the gifts and set up a "Shop" at the Harrisburg Mall where the parents can come and pick out gifts for their children. When they've done this in the past, some parents said it was the first time they've ever been able to pick out Christmas gifts for their children.

There is a sign-up sheet at the back of the sanctuary, as well as a suggested gift list on the bulletin board, but please note that when you sign up for a specific age/gender, you are indicating that you will provide one gift, NOT that you will be the sole provider of all gifts for that child.
